About Wes Jimerson
A real camera was one of the earliest toys that I can remember having as a child. My parents gave it to me after I expressed an interest in images from family photo albums and from family members abroad. Not knowing many facts behind the photographs before my time, I would use my imagination to create my own stories for them. Keeping that beginning in mind, please understand that I offer very little interpretation for my work.
Please look at my images and let them take you to a place that your imagination will explain. I believe they can be many things to many people, which is why I don’t offer much captioning for my photographs.
I have been able to create many powerful images with conventional camera equipment alone but with the use of computer software, my ability to express a vision is magnified many times over through digital enhancement. When I look through the lens, I see something that can't be seen by the camera, film, or sensor. With the use of a computer I can better show you what I see.
What I find most rewarding about my art is being able to explore the corners of my imagination. I also get validation when people share what my images mean to them. If you can be so kind, let me know where my images take you. Your comments can be part of what inspire me next.
